In the face of exasperated youths, Paul Biya declares his candidacy. That’s the front page headline of La voix de consommateurs. In his live address on 10 February, the President of the Republic, 92 years old who has been in power for 42 years, assured young people that he would “always be at their side to meet the challenges they face”. Many analysts saw this as a declaration of candidacy for the presidential election in October 2025. In the meantime, the vast majority of young people languish in precariousness and a lack of jobs. Some have found refuge in delinquency, banditry, alcohol, drugs, sexual exploitation and moral decadence.

On this occasion, the businessman shares his experience in a message titled “The inspiring story of a young person in Cameroon“. He encourages young people to overcome entrepreneurial challenges with boldness, perseverance and innovation.
