An 18-year-old girl arrested for burning a foetus

As the young woman tried to set fire to a bag containing a foetus of around seven months, she was spotted by two curious neighbours who immediately alerted the police.

The scene unfolded on Monday 10 February 2025 in the Biyem-Assi neighbourhood, Lac district, Yaounde. According to sources, two neighbours spotted an 18-year-old girl burning a bag, which immediately aroused their curiosity and concern. On approaching, they discovered that the contents of the bag was a foetus aged around seven months.

Faced with this alarming situation, the residents alerted the local authorities. According to a report by Crtv-Web, members of the Biyem-Assi gendarmerie quickly arrived to investigate the scene. Our source confirmed the young girl was arrested and taken in for questioning. This rapid intervention was welcomed by the community, which is demanding answers regarding this unacceptable act.
