Today’s press review opens with Le Drapeau. In commemoration of Women’s Day, MINTP promotes construction along secondary school girl. On 5 March 2025, to mark the 40th International Women’s Day, women from the Ministry of Public Works (MINTP) organised an educational talk at the Lycée Général Leclerc in Yaoundé. The event brought together more than 200 students from the Ngoa Ekelle and Nsam Efoulan lycées and the Lycée Général Leclerc, with the aim of guiding them towards careers in construction and public works. More details on page 4.

Still on celebrating women Echo Santé celebrates Female leadership in health and presents the top 20 women health leaders in Cameroon 2025. As part of the 40th edition of International Women’s Day 2025, under the theme “For all women and girls: rights, equality and empowerment“. Echo Santé proudly highlights the Top 20 women health leaders in Cameroon for 2025. These women, true ambassadors for health, have used their expertise and influence to promote healthy practices and prevent disease, inspiring others to follow their example. The paper would like to pay tribute to these exceptional women who are making a difference to health in Cameroon. We are convinced that their work and determination will inspire other women and girls to pursue careers in health and to fight for the rights of women and girls to health.

L’Économie headlines IMF proposals to tackle Inflation and liquidity tensions in CEMAC zones. The Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) recently recommended measures to be implemented by the Bank of Central African States to address this situation. Find details on page 3.

ID cards in 48 hours: Mbarga Nguélé delivers. La Météo reports on the successful rollout of first batch of national identity cards, produced in 2 days and available since March 03. This revolution, brilliantly led by the Delegate General for National Security, follows instructions from the Head of State, Paul Biya.

Aigle du Sahel focuses on Attack on the Minister for Youth and Civic Education When tribalism and hatred dictate the law to others. Despite facing attacks from tribalists, the Minister for Youth and Civic Education, MOUNOUNA FOUTSOU, met with potential investors and visited partner companies for the benefit of local Cameroonian youth and the diaspora. After a successful mission, MINJEC invited the protesters to the table for a frank dialogue during this working visit to Belgium. After a successful meeting with investors in Brussels, the real winner is Cameroon. Read more on page 7.

The fight against high cost of living Economic operators honoured by Paul Biya. According to Info Matin, at a ceremony presided over by the Minister of Trade, Luc Magloire Mbarga Atangana, on 5 March in Yaoundé, the heads of partner companies supporting the government in this operation received honours from the Head of State.

Concluding with Cameroun Tribune features Scientific research and innovation Encouraging support. Cameroon ingenuity is germinating in laboratories across the country. From science and technology, to agriculture and green energy, local researchers are working to improve living conditions for the population and contribute to the import-substitution policy.
