The 2026 World Cup qualifiers in Africa is in full swing, with Day 5 almost complete. In Group D, the Indomitable Lions lost first place to Cape Verde, who secured a 1-0 against Mauritius. The Blue Sharks are currently top of the table with 10 points, ahead of Cameroon (9 points) and Libya (8 points). Tuesday’s clash at the Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo promises to be decisive for both teams, but Marc Brys’ men need a win to get back on track, if not they’ll be likely disqualified.
The Cameroon Football Federation unveiled the programme for this high-stakes encounter today Saturday, March 22. Based on the program, the Mfandena stadium will open its doors at 3pm on Tuesday to welcome the Cameroonian and Libyan fans, followed by the arrival of the match officials, as well as Yaounde administrative officials and members of the government, including the Minister of Sport and Physical Education. Kick-off for the game is scheduled for 8pm.
