In a viral video that circulated on social media two weeks ago, students from the Complexe Scolaire Adventiste d’Odza located in Yaounde, where seen engaging in inappropriate behaviour while dressed in their school uniforms. The footage, which featured six students, including one girl, raised concerns about the loss of moral value among youths most especially students and how such content found itself on the social media space.
The school administration has finally reacted by taking firm disciplinary actions which includes permanently expelling all six students identified in the video. In a rumour that was widely spread on social media space, the girl involved was said to have been expelled as a video posted online showed the girl walking while her fellow students hailed her. Lebledparle.com has just being informed that investigations from the school revealed that a total of eleven students were involved in the act, all of whom have now been definitively excluded from the school institution.
Below is the press release from the school :
On Wednesday 05 February 2025, the staff room of the Complexe Scolaire Adventiste d’Odza (CSAO) in Yaoundé hosted a special session of the school Disciplinary Board.
The members of the Council were asked to rule on cases of indiscipline involving eleven students who accused of the following acts:
– Participating in an orgy while in school uniform
– Creating and distributing immoral videos; and
– Consuming alcohol.
Additionally, some of the students had prior disciplinary record, such as absenteeism and failure to attend classes.
The session was chaired by the Principal of the school and took place in the presence of the students involved, their parents, the President of the Parents and Teachers Association as well as the Deputy Commissioner of Police from the Compagnie de sécurisation des Etablissements Scolaires et Universitaires.
Based on:
Circular N°107/a/17/MINEDUC/ESGDEP of 17 August 1979 laying down the school rules and regulations; Circular N°2/d/7/MINEDUC/IGP-ESG/DESG/DETP of 11 January 1993 defining the punitive sanctions applicable to students ; Circular N°17/81/144/MINEDUC/ESG/SCP of 20 April 1987 relating to the students dress and behaviour; not forgetting the school’s internal regulations.
Held in a serene and spiritual atmosphere, to avoid stigmatising the students involved and to preserve their honour and dignity, the session resulted in the definite exclusion of the eleven students concerned from the Complexe Scolaire Adventiste d’Odza.
It is worth noting that eight of the students involved in the serious misconduct involved in this organised orgy while in school uniform were first year students at the instution.
