The trend of dismissing coaches which began with Panthère Sportive du Ndé at the start of the season, seems to continue with the latest, being Union FC of Douala. The club from the Littoral region has just terminated its contract with coach Mbarga Foé due to a lack of results. The news came on Thursday, a day after Union suffered a 0-2 defeat to Coton Sport of Garoua, which was one of too many deafeat for Nassaras Gamakaï administration. Under Mbarga’s leadership, the team had endured quite a disappointing season with four defeats and a draw in the ongoing 65th first division championship.
The situation had become overwhelming, especially as Union de Douala had failed to score a goal in their previous 5 matches. Anicet Mbarga could no longer maintain his position leading to the dismissal. According to Griffe 2 Foot, Bonaventure Djonkep, Anicet Nkoung and Laurent Djam are among the names mentioned to take over.
