A staunch supporter of Samuel Eto’o and the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT), which he leads, Bobo has become a vocal advocate for the local league. Speaking on the program “Les ZEGLISIENS” on Bnews, he addressed critics who compare the Cameroonian league to that of Côte d’Ivoire, asserting that Côte d’Ivoire has not surpassed Cameroon in organizing local football.
Bobo made his position clear during the program where he stated “People talk about the quality of play in the Cameroonian league. But where have they been to assess other leagues? I’ve been to Côte d’Ivoire, and their league is not better than ours.”
Determined to uphold the credibility of the MTN Elite One and Elite Two leagues under Samuel Eto’o’s leadership, Bobo keeps dismissing negative narratives. Despite the challenges like; the ongoing issue with the championship subsidy disbursed by the state and criticisms the league has faced this season, he remains confident in the league’s superiority and that leadership of the organiser.
