The culprit Mohamadou Salam is currently wanted as revealed by Butterfly Cameroon following up the case.
This is yet another case of Femicide in the country just before as the month of January comes to an end, with an approximate of over 5 confirmed cases of femicide just this month not counting those that have gone unreported. The rising numbers are alarming and authorities must take urgent action. Last year alone, there were 66 recorded cases of femicide according to the Paul Atanga Nji, who assured that the justice system would hold perpetrators accountable and ensure they are brought to book. However it seems, not much is done in the terrain as more men continue to commit these heinous acts.
