A horrific crime has stunned the community of Mokong in the Far North region, where Gamsoulong Federick is accused of brutally murdering his wife. The incident occurred in a village in Mokolo, Mayo Tsanaga division, and Federick is currently on the run.
Reports indicate that after killing his wife, Federick mutilated her body, severing her genital organs, tongue, and fingers. He then set her remains on fire and discarded the body in a nearby bush before fleeing the scene.
While the motive for this gruesome act remains unclear, an online whistleblower has revealed that the couple had children together. This tragic femicide follows closely behind another case in the West region, where a woman was shot and killed by her husband. As violence against women continues to rise, law enforcement agencies are urged to take swift action to ensure that perpetrators are brought to justice, especially since the Minister of Territorial Administration has emphasized that such acts of violence will face the full weight of the law.
