In order to allow Cameroonians to watch the opening match of the UNIFFAC tournament, the Cameroon Football Federation has adjusted the schedule for the 12th round in Douala. On February 12, the Secretary of the Transitional Council for Professional Football issued a statement announcing changes to the MTN Elite One schedule in Douala this weekend. As a result, the match between Astres de Douala and Dynamo Club de Douala, initially set for February 16 as part of the MTN matchday 12 , has been set for February 15, 2025. This adjustment was made due to the start of the UNIFFAC U17 tournament, which kicks off on February 16 in Douala.
Faustin Blaise Mbida in the release stated that the match will still hold at the same venue (Bonamoussadi stadium) with the same assigned officials; only the date has been changed.
As a reminder, the UNIFFAC tournament kicks off this Sunday, February 16, at the Stade de la Réunification in Douala. According to the schedule received by our editorial team, the U17 Lions will kick start the competition on Sunday against the Democratic Republic of Congo in the first matchday. At the end of the tournament, the two finalists will secure qualification for the U17 AFCON.
