Matchday 8 of the Elite One is about to conclude. The Transitional Council for Professional Football and Fecafoot have released the partial results and provisional standings for the six matches played across the country on Sunday. In the ranking, Colombe du Dja and Lobo maintain their spot in the first place with 20 points. This is after their 1-0 victory over Astres de Douala, the winners of the Cameroon Cup 2024 provisionally claimed the top position taken by Gazelle FA de Garoua last Wednesday.
Gazelle holds on to the 2nd spot with 17 points, trailing the first by three points. However, Union Sportive de Douala, Bamboutos de Mbouda, Aigle Royal du Moungo and Young Sport Academy remain in the red zone. It should be noted that the 13th, 14th, 15th and 16th-placed clubs will be directly relegated to Elite Two at the end of the season. The relegated clubs still have a chance to bounce back.
