While awaiting the 4th round final match between AS Fortuna and Astres de Douala, several games took place across the country on Saturday.

The MTN Elite One reached its 4th round this Saturday with 7 matches on the schedule. These were held in various stadiums across the nation, delivering high emotions for the and a few surprises for the football lovers. One of the biggest shocks came with Victoria United’s heavy 0-4 defeat at home to Panthère Sportive du Ndé. This was their first loss of the season and the most humiliating result of the 4th matchday. Stade Renard de Melong also stunned Coton Sport de Garoua with a 3-0 victory at the Stade de Melong.

In addition to these surprising results, other matches took place this Saturday. Colombe defeated Aigle Royal du Moungo 2-1 in Yaoundé, while Canon de Yaoundé triumphed 1-3 over Fauves Azur. In Douala, Union de Douala suffered a 0-3 defeat at home to Gazelle FA, and YOSA was beaten 1-3 at the Stade de Mbouda.

Pending the final match on Monday between AS Fortuna and Astres de Douala, Victoria United has dropped from the top of the standings after their 0-4 loss to Panthère Sportive du Ndé. Valentine Kwain’s team now sits in 4th place. Meanwhile, Canon de Yaoundé, with three wins and one draw, has taken the lead with 8 points, followed by Colombe Sportive, also with 8 points. YOSA, Astres de Douala, AS Fortuna, and Aigle du Moungo are currently in the relegation zone.
