MTN Elite One: Results and rankings of matchday 6

Matchday 6 of the top-tier football championship was concluded this Sunday across various stadiums in Cameroon. Colombe of Dja and Lobo have reclaimed the top spot in the league, while PWD of Bamenda, AS Fortuna, Aigle du Moungo, and YOSA remain in the relegation zone.

The 6th matchday of the Cameroonian professional first division championship has come to an end. The final matches were played yesterday, Sunday across various venues. Colombe du Sud secured a second consecutive victory against Union de Douala at the Mbappe Leppe Stadium (0-1). The 2024 Cameroon Cup winners are gaining momentum, topping the league table with 14 points. So far, the “Southern Bird” remains unbeaten, boasting four wins and two draws. Victoria United, highly anticipated this season, is in sharp decline. Opopo was defeated by Fauves Azur at Ahmadou Ahidjo Annex No. 1 Stadium, 2-1.

Gazelle FA is in second place after their 1-1 draw against Aigle Moungo. Gazelle has recorded three wins, two draws, and one loss, totaling 11 points on the standings. They are followed by Dynamo FC (11 points) and Canon de Yaoundé (11 points). While some teams are starting to pull ahead, Aigle du Moungo and YOSA are at the bottom of the table. Both clubs have accumulated just 3 points and 2 points, respectively, with no victories in six matches.
