The ceremony to present New Year’s greetings for 2025 to the Head of State will take place on Friday 10 January at the Unity Palace in Yaoundé. During the ceremony, Paul BIYA will receive 2025 New Year wishes from members of the Diplomatic Corps and members of the National Constituted Bodies.
The programme, made public in a press release issued by Minister Mvondo Ayolo, Director of the Civil Cabinet at the Office of the President of the Republic, provides for the diplomatic corps to appear before the Cameroonian Head of State between 3:00 and 3:50 pm. This will be marked by the traditional speech by the dean of the diplomatic corps accredited to Yaoundé on the state of international relations.
The second passage, that of the national constituted bodies, will follow between 4.00 pm and 4.45 pm. Details of the programme and dress requirements for these ceremonies are contained in the official press release from the Civil Cabinet of the Office of the President of the Republic. It is important note that the use of telephones will be prohibited during these two events.
