Outrage in Bepanda as 47 year old man caught abusing 11 year old girl

A disturbing case of child sexual abuse and paedophilia has shocked residents of Bepanda, Douala, after a 47-year-old man, identified as Mr. Sika, was caught in the act of abusing an 11-year-old girl this morning.

According to several reports, the child was frequently left in Mr. Sika’s care by her mother during her absences, trusting him as a neighbor and family acquaintance. Though the young girl had previously confided in her mother, reporting that Mr. Sika had been touching her inappropriately, complaints that were dismissed, as her mother believed the man was too kind to commit such an act. However, nature wanted the man to get caught and it so happened that the mother left her daughter with this same neighbour today and screams coming from Mr. Sika’s home raised alarm as other neighbours rushed to the house and, upon entering, found him in the act of abusing the girl, who was bleeding.

Bewildered by what they had seen, they reacted with outrage, and the police were called immediately. Officers arrived just in time to prevent the angry mob from attacking the suspect. Mr. Sika is currently in custody and will undergo police investigation. While the child has been taken for urgent medical attention and psychological support.

This recurring incident of paedophilia and sexual abuse highlights the need for parents to be very cautious and pay attention to when children report of an acquaintance touching them inappropriately instead of simply dismissing their claims as false. There are also calls for people caught into such act to fully face justice as such a case is not to be taken lightly.
