Few days after being made NTUMFON of the village of Koshin, located in the Fungom district, Menchum department, North-West region, Samuel Eto’o has received another traditional title. This time, the President of the Cameroon Football Federation has been elevated to the rank of a great notable in the Tokombere commune located in the Far North. On Tuesday 21 January 2025, during a ceremony presided over by the Right Honourable Cavayé Yeguié Djibril, President of the National Assembly, Samuel Eto’o was inducted into the notability of the Tokombere chiefdom.
According to the images received by our editorial team, the former captain of the Indomitable Lions received his traditional attributes from the hands of the political and traditional elite of the Far North region, after being dressed in the traditional colours of the chiefdom. The ceremony was widely acclaimed by the personalities present. It was held a day after Samuel Eto’o’s meeting with the governor of the Far North region, Midjiyawa Bakari, and Senator Alioum Alhadji to discuss the state of football in Cameroon.
