U-17 Lionesses : Players chant Samuel Eto’o’s name in celebration (video)

After their commanding 5-0 victory over Egypt at Cairo Stadium on Sunday, the baby Lionesses returned home and sang a hymn in honour of the President of the Cameroon football Federation.

The plane carrying the U-17 Lionesses from Cairo back to their base Cameroon was filled with excitement. In an amateur video that was posted online, the players can be seen chanting Samuel Eto’o name with an anthem dedicated to the president of the Fecafoot and the refrain echoing “Samuel Eto’o”chant”. Joy radiated the U-17s, who secured an impressive 5-0 victory over Egypt just hours earlier. This triumph of theirs is undoubtedly a gesture of gratitude to the Cameroon Football Federation for their support.

The U-17 Lionesses began their FIFA World Cup qualifying tournament yesterday in Cairo, Egypt with a great performance, defeating the Pharaohs U-17 team 5-0 in their opening match. Tazanou scored a hat-trick and two other goals came from Divine Nkoussa and Tiwa Lys, completed the score. It was after this beautiful victory that Joseph Ndoko’s squad sang the anthem in honour of Samuel Eto’o.
