Another horror struck the capital city, as a woman was killed on Thursday 9 January 2025 in the Mimboman neighbourhood, at a place known as Dernier Poteau. According to Crtv-Yaoundé FM 94, the victim was stabbed in the chest by two men on a motorbike. The thugs who initially attempted to snatch the woman’s bag, resorted to stabbing her with a knife after their efforts proved unsuccessful.
The woman, found lying in a pool of blood, succumbed to her injuries on the spot before first aid could arrive but unfortunately the attackers fled the scene immediately. Upon being alerted, the gendarmerie deployed officers from the Yaoundé 3 company to the location, where initial investigations were conducted.
The body was taken to a local morgue while an investigation has been opened to locate these criminals who are still at large. It is important to note that this case of aggression is on the rise most especially in the capital city and the forces of law and order are to act fast to locate these assailants who keep perpetrating these atrocities.
