The Lioncelles now know their opponents for the final round of the U17 World Cup qualifiers. Joseph Ndoko’s squad will face Kenya, who dominated Uganda on Sunday, to qualify for this year’s tournament in Morocco. After qualifying against Ethiopia (6-2 on aggregate), the Cameroon had to wait over the weekend results to determine their next opponent in the 3rd round.
After cruising past Egypt in the first round and Ethiopia in the second without difficulty, coach Ndoko now faces a tougher challenge Kenya, a team who played in the last edition of the U17 World Cup, promises to be a formidable opponent for Fraîche Twa and her team-mates. The first leg between the two nations will take place on 18 April 2025 in Kenya, with the return leg in Cameroon on 25 April. It will be a month in which the U17 Lionesses’ coaching staff will have to devise stratégies and tricks of the trade to eliminate Kenya and take part in this competition, which is being played on African soil.
