An increasingly common modus operandi in Cameroonian cities
According to our information, this tragedy highlights the dangers of social media in Cameroon today. These media are increasingly being used by criminals to lure their victims, with fraudulent job offers that are frequently posted, and unfortunately young people in particular are often the prime targets of these crooks.
The authorities are calling on the public to exercise the utmost vigilance and caution when responding to job offers posted on social networks. It is important to check the identity of the potential employer and never hand over any money before obtaining all the necessary guarantees. The police have launched an investigation to find the perpetrator or perpetrators of this heinous crime.
